“Cheers Easter Ears!”

Cheers Easter Ears!

This Easter Hank will be with his Dad in Rochester with Marty’s family. They will wear their Easter Ears because they always wear their Easter Ears and because…well…it’s funny!  They laugh as they enter the house with them on,  and everyone laughs when they see them.  And I marvel at the fact that we can all still be so entertained by the simplest things.  I not only marvel at it, I am grateful as all get out for it.

Oh yes…the simple things.  I have many tools that serve me well and keep me centered and on course.  Prayer and meditation are big for me, and of course a wonderful variety of Young Living oils that are true emotional healers and balancers.  But sometimes all it takes is a big dose of funny from a very simple thing…like pink fluffy ears on my son and his dad.

Another beautiful thing about simple things is that they have so many other endearing capabilities.  The yellow and white snow drops in my back yard don’t make me double over with laughter…they make me smile with a warmth in my heart and an appreciation for the grace of nature.   When I find time to relax on my recliner, the simple act of our beautiful kitties climbing onto my stomach gives me comfort.  They purr their fabulousness all through me and I feel tensions release.  And of course, biggest prize of all, when Hank bear hugs me around my neck I feel a sense of love that is so powerful I could almost burst from the joy of it.

So I do my best to remember to focus on the simple things.  When I infuse my day with an appreciation of simplicity I give myself the gifts of laughter, joy, comfort, and relief.   I give  myself and others an opportunity to ‘stop and smell the roses.’   I give us all an invitation to feel a little lighter.

So…Cheers Easter Ears!  Have a beautiful weekend and a beautiful Easter.  I wish you all  your own personal resurrection into a bounty of wondrous simplicity.

I love how you always remind me to re-center and practice gratitude for all the beauty around me. I love you, my dear sister!

Poor little kitty. I wore my bunny ears (with a tiara) at Springside brunch and my older nephews wanted to move away from me cause it was embarrassing. Just then the Easter bunny walked by and gave me the OK sign. I laughed and told the boys, we speak the same language. Too precious. Many people stopped to say they loved the ears–it is the simple things

It surely is Debbie! And I originally had written “No animals were harmed during the writing of this blog” underneath my dear Scooter! He truly wasn’t harmed at all. Perhaps somewhat embarrassed though! 🙂
